Our quality mulch is the end product of our demolition and land clearing projects. Our economy mulch is a rich dark brown consisting of hard and soft woods. We do not treat our mulch for insects, because of our longer mulch process. Treating is the equivalent to baking the mulch for a few months. We allow our mulch to bake for 4-5 months, incinerating anything that is within the pile. This keeps our mulch at its most natural state, It is a nice consistency with most bits no larger than 1’. We also have RED, BROWN, and BLACK colored mulch. We do not treat this mulch either. The dye that we use to color the mulch is non-toxic, keeping it safe for those that come in contact with the mulch. It is actually made out of the same dye that crayons are made out of. Click here for pricing.

How Much Mulch Do I Need?

Measure area you want to cover by Length x Width in Feet (If you measure in inches, convert to feet); this equals Square Feet.

Square Feet  x  Depth of mulch desired (remember to convert inches to feet, i.e. 3 inches is .25 ft.) then divide by 27 = cubic yards needed. (3 x 3 x 3 = 1 cubic yd.)

Example:
   Length of area = 10 ft
   Width of area = 12 ft
   Depth of mulch desired = 3 inches (0.25 ft)

   10 x 12 x .25 = 30 cubic feet

   30 / 27 = 1.11 yds of mulch needed

Comparison to Bagged Mulch
   3 cubic foot bags, 9 bags = 1 cubic yard
   2 cubic foot bags, 13.5 bags = 1 cubic yard
